Marriage is a gift from God

1. Deep Sleep - Grab a gift and it is no longer a gift. Grab and you may have what you don't want instead of wanting what you don't have.
   Trust God to give you the gifts that he means for you to have. No grabbing. Receive.
2. The Rib - God took one of the man's ribs. The woman is uniquely made from the man not from the dust of the earth. Why? Equal, but not equal. Mirror images, but not mirror images. Partner in all of life. Total interdependence. Woman came from man. Every man comes from a woman. He who loves his wife, loves himself.
3. Ownership - God made a woman. God made the woman from the rib. It was God's design. The woman is owned by her Maker and God loves everything He owns. Woman is the capstone of creation. There is nothing else like it. Marriage is a stewardship. It is not an ownership. God's vision.
4. God brought Eve to the man. Adam received the one and only one God brought to him. 1 Peter 3:7
